OpenEFT is closed

OpenEFT has shut down and is no longer accepting fingerprint card conversions.

OpenEFT was run to help Americans exercise their Second Amendment rights. Now that the ATF is no longer enforcing form registration for most of America, we have accomplished our mission.

States that enforce "NFA compliance" may still require registration. If you need to keep making EFT files, you can host OpenEFT yourself for free from github.com/NoahGWood/OpenEFT.

If you can't get OpenEFT running yourself, you can generate an EFT through OpenPew instead, which was a competitor of OpenEFT. Note that OpenPew is a paid service, not free.

If you still have an EFT file on record, email support@openeft.org before October 27, 2026. Files are purged two weeks after they're created, so after that date no files will remain.
